Hello, my name is Helen, and I am the founder of Nordic Shield Mindfulness.
I offer mindfulness and meditation to individuals and groups as a pathway to greater presence, balance, and inner calm. My work is deeply personal — mindfulness has profoundly transformed my own life, and it is from this lived experience that my teaching naturally flows.
My approach is holistic, honouring the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. I am a dedicated practitioner trained in mindfulness, sound therapy, and positive neuroplasticity, with a gentle focus on how awareness, compassion, and intention can reshape the brain and support healing.
I have been working and till work with so many individuals who are unwell or struggling with health issues.
My mindfulness training includes attending the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, alongside CPD-accredited programmes.
Over the years, I have spent meaningful time in Denmark while visiting my son and granddaughter. Immersing myself in Danish culture — where nature, simplicity, and balance are deeply valued — became a powerful source of inspiration on my own journey. The Danish way of life, often recognised for supporting health, wellbeing, and contentment, reaffirmed for me the importance of slowing down, connecting with nature, and living with greater presence. These experiences continue to shape my work, bringing a calm, grounded, and nature-inspired essence into everything I offer.
With over three decades of experience in health promotion, wellness education, and mindful movement, I weave together ancient wisdom and modern science to support people in reconnecting with themselves, cultivating resilience, and nurturing inner peace.
I have worked with the public for more than thirty years and hold a BSc (Hons) in Exercise and Health Science. My background as a physical education trainer, P.E. teacher, and school sports and health educator has shaped a compassionate, down-to-earth teaching style. I meet people where they are, creating a safe, supportive space for each individual’s unique path toward wellbeing.
